IRON MAN 3 Scribe Drew Pearce To Rewrite GODZILLA
Variety reports that screenwriter Drew Pearce will add rewrites to Gareth Edwards’ (Monsters) Godzilla reboot for Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros. Drew is best known for writing for Marvel’s Iron Man 3 and Runaways along with Sherlock Holmes 3. David Callaham (The Expendables), David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) and Max Borenstein (The Seventh Son) had been previously working on the script.
‘GODZILLA’ Concept Art Surfaces
io9 has discovered some possible Godzilla concept art for the newly designed Japanese icon in Gareth Edward’s upcoming film. The art seems as legit as the original Green Lantern concepts that leaked. However, until we see a full teaser trailer it’s unknown for sure.
New Godzilla Movie Gets Another Writer
While Legendary Pictures hired Gareth Edwards (Monsters) to direct their new Godzilla film they didn’t have an official writer. There was word that David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Blade, Dark Knight Rises) and David Callaham were working on a drafts. Now there is confirmation from HeatVision that newcomer Max Borenstein will now work on the script.
Gareth Edwards To Direct Godzilla For Legendary Pictures
HeatVision reports that Monsters writer/director Gareth Edwards is close to closing a deal with Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros. to helm and co-write their reboot of Godzilla. Gareth Edwards gained praise for his film Monsters which he wrote and directed himself. He also worked on the film’s special effects on his laptop.
